Family Day Care Educators

Location: Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, Alice Springs

Family Day Care is a unique service offering approved education and care in a small group setting in your own home. FDC Educators approved with Kentish FDC operate a small business from their homes and are required to hold or be willing to obtain a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Educators work in partnership with families and Kentish to provide an educational small group environment for children in the home and can offer care during standard hours, before/after school, during school holidays, shift work or irregular hours.

Duties

  • Supervision and education of Family Day Care children.
  • Provide high quality service in accordance with the National Quality Framework and Kentish FDC policies and procedures.
  • Work in partnership with families and Kentish to provide high quality education and care in a home setting.

Requirements

  • Hold or work towards Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Ochre Card
  • Police Check
  • Hold a First Aid Qualification

Child Care Centre Educators (Expression of Interest)

Location: Moulden, Katherine, Tennant Creek

Kentish is currently seeking Child Care Centre Educators to join the Kentish family.

Kentish Early Learning Centres located in three different locations in the NT: Moulden (Darwin/Palmerston), Katherine, and Tennant Creek. The facilities range from 50-100 child places. For more information, please visit our Kentish Early Learning Centre web pages.

Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidates (for remote Centres in Tennant Creek and Katherine).

Duties

  • Supervision and education of children 0-5 years old
  • Provide high quality service in accordance with the National Quality Framework and Kentish policies and procedures
  • Work in partnership with families and Kentish to provide high quality education and care

Requirements

Early Childhood Teacher

Location: Katherine, Tennant Creek

Kentish Early Learning Centre – Tennant Creek is a three-room facility for 0 to 5-year-old children and is licensed for 50 child places per day. TCCCC is the only child care centre in the heart of Tennant Creek. It is a unique service offering approved education and care for essential workers and local families. We provide a safe, nurturing,  and stimulating environment that provides experiences that reflect children’s diversity, strengths, needs and interests.

Kentish Early Learning Centre – Big Rivers is an eight-room facility for 0 to 5-year-old children and is licensed for 104 child places per day. 

Duties

  • Supervision and education of children 0-5 years old
  • Provide high quality service in accordance with the National Quality Framework and Kentish policies and procedures
  • Work in partnership with families and Kentish to provide high quality education and care

Out-of-Home-Care Carers

Location: Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs

The Kentish Out of Home Care Program is looking for specialist foster carers to take on the role as an Out of Home Carer in Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

We are looking for kind-hearted, positive and caring individuals who enjoy working with children and young people, and want to make a difference in their lives. By providing a loving and caring home with structure and support, you can help guide a child to a path of success.

We seek individuals or couples to become Kentish Out of Home Carers for one of NTs largest foster care programs. The Kentish Out of Home Care program is producing high-achieving life-changing outcomes for children through the many supports on offer. All care is delivered in your home.

The program helps children develop the needed skills to thrive at home, in school, and in the community, and avoids children from entering the residential care setting.

Duties

  • 24 hours supervision and education of children (between 0 to 18 years old)
  • Provide high quality service in accordance with Territory Families and Kentish policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Ochre Card
  • Police Check
  • Hold a First Aid Qualification
  • Hold or be willing to work towards Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
